What We Do

Amvets programs and services are designed for California Veterans' changing needs.
  • Service Officers

We provide Veterans and their families with information regarding benefits earned while serving our country. Additionally, we assist and counsel Veterans with their VA claims, education, pension, and more. Our Service Officers are located throughout the state of California.

  • Career Center

Team Amvets Career Centers will provide free of charge employment assistance for all Veterans, both active duty and reserves.

  • Homeless Veteran Outreach

Through our Welcome Home Program, we provide furniture and other household items to Veterans who have been homeless but are now rebuilding their lives through the HUD-VASH housing program.

  • Scholarships

Our Scholarship Program is designed to provide financial assistance to our Veterans enrolled in a college or Trade/Vocational school. Awards are given twice per year.

  • Legislative Advocacy

Our Legislative team is active in advocating on behalf of Veterans and their dependents before the California Legislature, California Department of Veteran Affairs, state and local agencies.

  • Suicide Prevention

We are committed to supporting suicide prevention services and programs to Save Just One. The National Veterans Crisis Line is available anytime 24/7. 1-800-273-8255 press 1.

  • Women Veterans

Team Amvets is dedicated to addressing Women Veterans issues. We reach out to women Veterans to ensure they are receiving the benefits they have earned. Additionally, we support and create events specific to Women Veterans that educate, uplift, and assist.

  • Other Programs

Amvets offers a wide variety of services such as Americanism, Community Service, VAVS Sick and Hospitalized Veterans, JROTC. Visit our Resource Library for more.
